Lenovo Announces Legion Slim 7i 17.9mm Thin Gaming Laptop
Pre-orders for the Lenovo Legion 7i is still live, and Lenovo had just announced a new addition to its Legion gaming arm, the Legion Slim 7i. Not to be confused with the existing Lenovo Slim 7i, the Legion Slim 7i is thinner than Lenovo’s current flagship devices but packs similar internals.
The main difference between the Legion 7i and Legion Slim 7i is the latter is thinner at 17.9mm and weighs only 1.86kg compared to the Legion 7i’s 19.9mm thickness and 2.1kg weight. In order to sport a thinner chassis, the Legion Slim 7i’s battery is only at 71wHr instead of the 80wHr battery on the Legion 7i.
The Legion Slim 7i also packs some upgrades over the current flagship, such as Windows Hello support, thanks to the power button’s built-in fingerprint reader. It also uses an enhanced TrueStrike keyboard and Legion’s Coldfront 2.0 cooling system.
Legion Slim 7i, Specs, Pricing and Availability
The Legion Slim 7i can be configured up to a 10th gen Intel Core i9 HK processor, up to an Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU, up to 32GB 3200 Mhz DDR4 memory, and up to a 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD. Moreover, there are also two screen options to choose from, the standard FHD 144HZ IPS display with 100% sRGB coverage or a whopping 4K IPS HDR 400 certified display with 100% Adobe RGB coverage. Depending on your region, the Legion Slim 7i ships with a white-backlight keyboard or a per-key RGB keyboard powered by Corsair iCUE
There is no word yet on the Legion Slim 7i’s pricing and availability in the Philippines, but we are expecting it to be priced slightly lower than the Legion 7i and will be available either on Q4 2020 or Q1 2021.
