Microsoft Surface Duo Goes on Pre-Order in the U.S., Specifications Revealed
Microsoft has just revealed the pre-order details and full specifications of the Surface Duo, its own take on the foldable smartphone.
Surface Duo sports two 5.6-inch FHD+ OLED displays and is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. For optics, the device boasts a single 11 MP snapper placed at the top of the right screen. It’s capable of 7x digital zoom, 4K 60fps video recording, and has EIS.
Software-wise, it runs on Android 10 with a custom UI that Microsoft promotes as a game-changer for productivity on-the-go. The company also made some changes to its OneDrive and Office apps to work well on the Duo. Surface Duo is compatible with existing Android apps.
It’s equipped with a 360-degree hinge that opens up a long list of usage scenarios. Both displays also support Surface pens. Surface Duo houses a 3,577mAh battery and comes with an 18W charger.
As for pricing, its USD1399.99 for 128GB of storage, and USD1499.99 for 256GB. It will be available in the U.S. via T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. There’s no news as to whether it’ll be sold in other markets.
