YouTuber Taki Udon has just shown that some mobile gaming pc devices are already able to support Windows 11 namely the AYA NEO, GPD Win 2, GPD Win Max, and GPD Win 3.
Some of the requirements for Windows 11 include a 9-inch display with 720p resolution with 8-bits per color channel. Additionally, it requires a supported processor and a TPM chip. However, if we base it on the devices that Taki Udon was able to install the new version, it looks like some of the requirements are not really… well.. required. At least for now.
These devices benefit a lot from the update more specifically with the several tablet-focused changes. Among these include Snap Assist for multitasking and a better typing experience. The latter includes voice typing assuming the device has a mic.
Android app emulation is also another addition to the new Windows version that should be interesting for gaming handheld. However, it isn’t included in the first Insider Preview Build.
It looks like Windows 11 will bring many good changes to the handheld gaming devices both current and the upcoming.
