Corning has just unveiled the Gorilla Glass DX and DX+ for smartphone camera lenses protection.
The Gorilla Glass DX and DX+ are said to offer advanced optical performance, superior scratch resistance, and durability compared to regular lens covers.
The company claims it lets in up to 98% of ambient light to reach the camera sensor. Additionally, they are said to also offer less reflection and glare which improves clarity for better-looking photos.
The technology isn’t totally new as it has been used in smartwatch displays since 2018. However, this is the first time it will be used for smartphone cameras.
The company did not mention which smartphones will feature the new protective glass but it did reveal that Samsung will be the first to use the tech.
