Ahead of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11, Dr. TM Roh, Samsung Electronics President and Head of Mobile Communications Business shared the company’s strategy to bring more empowering mobile technology.
According to Dr. Roh, in order to explore new ways to empower the users, the company ventured into uncharted territory. This is how the company ended up with a new category, launching the Galaxy Fold. The company improved the foldable category with the second generation of foldable offering more display and features. The upcoming third generation will continue to build on the innovations of its predecessors.
The company has also worked hard with its partners like Google and Microsoft to bring a better and more secure mobile experience.
An example of this is the upcoming One UI Watch which will debut on the Galaxy Watch4 series. The new UI was built with Google and unifies Tizen and Wear OS into a UI with Galaxy devices deeply integrated.
Furthermore, the collaboration between Samsung and its partners will enrich the foldable ecosystems. The new Galaxy Z series devices will feature even more partner apps to make the mosts of the foldable format, from hands-free optimized video calling with Google Duo and watching videos in Flex mode on YouTube to multitasking in Microsoft Teams.
