Motorola has just unveiled the Moto G50 5G that shares quite a lot with the Moto G50 albeit with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, a different camera setup, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Among the features it shares with its non-5G sibling includes a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 13MP selfie camera, 5000mAh battery, and 15W fast charging support.
The 5G variant has a 48MP main camera accompanied by a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. These are now housed in a square camera module compared to being in a vertical line.
The Dimensity 700 is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage via a microSD card.
The new Moto G-series device runs Android 11 with Motorola’s My UX on top. Additionally, it features an NFC reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Moto G50 5G is available in Australia in Meteorite Gray and Green color options for AUD 399. Its availability outside of Australia is yet to be announced though.
