Apple has just released the new AirPods along with the new MacBook Pro powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets.
The third-generation AirPods is has a new contoured design that allows it to sit at the right angle for comfort. It also has a shorter stem compared to its predecessors. Despite the shorter stem, it now has the same force sensor found in the AirPods Pro.
The buds themselves and charging case have an IPX4 rating making the two resistant to sweat and water.
They also now support Dolby Atmos and Adaptive EQ. The former allows for a 3D theater-like listening experience, while the latter allows you to adjust the sound based on how it fits in your ear. The adjustment is done by computational audio with the help of an inward-facing microphone that monitors the sound.
The TWS earbuds also feature an AAC-ELD codec that offers full HD voice quality during calls.
As far as battery life goes, it is said to offer up to 6 hours of playback and up to four hours of talk time. The charging case gives four additional charges so you can get a total of 30 hours of listening time. In addition to wired charging, the case can be charged wirelessly via MagSafe.
The third-generation AirPods are priced at PHP 10,990.
