A report from Nikkei Asia mentions that OPPO is already planning its own chipset for its flagship devices as early as 2023.
According to the report, the company is looking to use the TSMC 3nm fabrication process for its own SoC. OPPO, up to this point, has relied on Qualcomm and MediaTek for chipsets on its devices but it looks to join Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and now Google with their own silicone.
If this does fall through, there is a chance that we see the in-house OPPO SoC in vivo, OnePlus, and realme devices with the mentioned companies being under BBK Electronics.
