Xiaomi has just confirmed, ahead of the October 28 launch, that at least one device in the Redmi Note 11 series will feature a 108MP camera with 2.1 μm large pixels.
The 2.1 μm large pixels are actually comprised of grouped up 0.7 μm pixels thanks to 9-to-1 pixel binning technology. This allows more light and provides a better image in certain scenarios.
The teaser photos also reveal that the default resolution of the photos will be at 12000×9000. Because of the specs revealed, the company is expected to bring back the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor that its predecessors featured instead of introducing a newer ISOCELL HM3 sensor.
Which exact device will feature the 108MP camera wasn’t revealed but it is expected to be the Pro/Pro Max variants. Either way, the wait isn’t too long since the Redmi Note 11 series will be unveiled in China on October 28.
