A report from South Korea has surfaced revealing that Samsung has completely removed the Galaxy Note series from its product planning for next year. According to the report, the decision to remove the iconic Note series is the foldables.
Based on the stats, the move makes a lot of sense. The Galaxy Note 10 series had 12.7 million orders in 2019 and this dropped to 9.7 million in 2020 for its successor – the Galaxy Note20 series. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold alone had 13 million orders.
The report also mentions that the company is stopping the production of the Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra in 2022 but this is unsurprising given that it was released over a year ago.
Samsung, earlier this year, mentioned that it will be skipping the Note series and will introduce a new generation next year. Meanwhile, reports have speculated that the foldables will take the place of the Note series.
We’ll just have to wait to see what the next move is from Samsung but if they do remove the Note series, it wouldn’t be too surprising.
