Amidst companies announcing their flagship devices featuring the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 including the Xiaomi 12 series, a new leak surfaced revealing details on Xiaomi’s Redmi K50 Gaming series. This is said to be comprised of the Redmi K50 Gaming and Redmi K50 Gaming Pro.
According to the leak, the vanilla variant will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7000, while the Redmi K50 Gaming Pro version has a Dimensity 9000 at the helm. The Dimensity 9000 is MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset, while the chipset maker is expected to release Dimensity 7000 as an upper mid-range processor.
There were speculations that the new series will make its debut in December but new reports claim that the Pro variant will launch in April 2022.
The April 2022 launch makes more sense as the company released the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition last April. However, it is expected that both devices will be exclusive to the Chinese market.
