Logitech, a known PC gaming peripheral brand, and Tencent plan to deliver a gaming handheld device dubbed – Logitech G Gaming Handheld and shared a teaser about it last August 2.
Now, reliable tipster Evan Blass has shared some images of the said handheld. According to the initial previews the manufacturer plans to launch this device later this year.
Logitech G Gaming Handheld Details
As seen in the image above, the Logitech G Gaming Handheld device has a form factor akin to Nintendo’s Switch with the shell mostly colored white. The thumbsticks in front are colored black with a positioning similar to an X-Box controller. The display is also shown to have thick bezels.
Moreover, there are four function buttons located on each of the screens display and trigger buttons on top of the device alongside the volume control, and a possible mute button beside a memory card slot.
Looking at the UI, it also has switch-like aesthetics and you can clearly see the Google Store Store app beside the Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Steam (Remote Play) with other UI features that include five rows of navigation options located in the top-left corner while the time, Bluetooth, WiFi, and battery are located on the opposite side.
A Chrome and YouTube icon can also be spotted confirming the device will be running on Android(Android 11 to be exact). This device boasts a Snapdragon 720G SoC paired with 4GB RAM and a 1080×1920 resolution display.
The details shared seem to confirm that the Logitech G Gaming Handheld is targeted at mobile gamers that are maybe seeking the same features/familiarity that smartphones provide.
