Apple has just released the updated Apple TV 4K with a faster processor, better HDR support, and improved connectivity. This was introduced alongside the new iPad and iPad Pro.
The new media player from Apple is now equipped with the A15 Bionic chipset which is said to have a 50% faster CPU and 15% improved GPU performance compared to its predecessor with the A12 Bionic chip.
Additionally, the new Apple TV 4K supports HDR10+ on top of the existing Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG formats. The only HDR10+ content currently available though is from Amazon Prime Video.
Moreover, it has a variant with a Gigabit Ethernet port with support for Thread mesh networking protocol. This variant comes with 128GB storage compared to the 64GB option with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
The Siri Remote also now has a USB-C port instead of the current Lightning port.
