Apple M2 Max Chipset Spotted on Geekbench with 96GB RAM

Apple introduced the M2 chipset at WWDC 2022 in June this year. Now, ahead of anything official, the Apple M2 Max chipset was spotted on the Geekbench benchmark.

M2 Max Geekbench Listing Details

There were two listings on Geekbench, both revealing the M2 Max with 96GB RAM. This could mean that there you can configure the MacBook Pro with up to 96GB RAM. Currently, you can max it out at only 64GB RAM.

The listing reveals 12 cores on the chipset running at 3.54GHz, revealing 2 more cores than the M1 Max at faster clock speeds. The L1 and L2 cache figures are pretty much the same as its predecessor though.

In October 2021, Apple introduced the M1 Pro and M1 Max. There was a report earlier this year that the M2 Pro would reach mass production in Q4 of this year.

With it being December now, it is expected that the M2 Pro and M2 Max along with the respective MacBook Pro offerings will be launched in 2023 instead of the rumored Fall release.
