Corning has just confirmed that the next Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphones or the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be the first devices to feature the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is built to survive drops including falls on concrete from up to 1m or up to 2m on asphalt.
The second iteration of Victus contains an average of 22% of “pre-consumer” recycled content. It has also earned an Environmental Claim Validation mark.
The new glass protection is expected to protect both the front and back of the Galaxy S23 series, similar to how Victus+ was used on the Galaxy S22 series.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is set to be introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled to take place on February 1 (or February 2, 1 AM, Philippine Time).
