Xiaomi is set to introduce the Xiaomi 13 series at the Mobile World Congress 2023 on February 26. The series was initially introduced in China in December. Ahead of this though, live images of the alleged Xiaomi 13 Ultra surfaced giving us a peek into its camera module size and design.
Before we get to the alleged case, it is also notable that the Xiaomi CEO has also confirmed that the 13S series won’t be coming.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Alleged Case and More
Now for the case of what is believed to be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. It reveals a massive round camera module which is more akin to the camera module of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra introduced in July 2022.
In addition to the case, a presumed sketch and a purported live hands-on image also surfaced.
The three leaked materials reveal a pretty similar camera cutout placement but not entirely the same. The case, in particular, reveals oval-shaped cutouts on the top and bottom of the module. The sketch and hands-on have a dual LED setup on the bottom which could answer the bottom oval-shaped cutout. However, neither has anything that could require a cutout on the top.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is rumored to be unveiled in March or April in China. Given the size of its camera module, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see the device focus on photography. Another rumor hints that the upcoming Ultra device will retain its predecessor’s 1-inch main sensor but will come with gimbal stabilization.
