Xiaomi has just introduced the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Pad 6 series, Xiaomi Band 8, as well a new Sound Move speaker and an 86-inch Mini LED smart TV in a launch event in China.
Xiaomi Band 8
The Xiaomi Band 8 is the company’s latest member of its Band series. It shares the same 1.62-inch 490x192p resolution as its predecessor but features Always on Display support and 600nits of peak brightness.
Unique to the Band 8 though is that it offers a variety of straps with different materials including leather, nylon fabric, and metal. Additionally, it gives you the option to wear it as a pendant or clip it to your shoes for better tracking when you work out.
The next-generation Band also carries over the sensors that you can expect from wearables in this day and age that allow you to track heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and stress.
It also has the same set of fitness tracking as its predecessor. Additionally, there are courses via the Mi Fitness app which help you follow workouts on your devices.
The Xiaomi Band 8 is said to offer up to 6 days with Always-on-Display and up to 16 days with typical use. It charges via a two-pin charger.
The Band 8 is available in China and priced at CNY 299 (around PHP 2,400) for the NFC variant and CNY 249 (around PHP 2,000) without NFC.
Xiaomi Sound Move
Meanwhile, the Sound Move is a new smart speaker with an aluminum housing and has two 7.5W drivers inside as well as two passive radiators tuned by Harman Kardon.
The speaker is equipped with a 4150mAh battery which is said to offer up to 21 hours of playback on a single charge.
Other features of the speaker include LHDC codec support, IP66 rating, and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It is priced in China at CNY 699 (around PHP 5,700).
Xiaomi 86-inch Mini LED Smart TV
Lastly, the company’s latest 86-inch smart TV. It features a 4K resolution Mini LED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, it has a Cortex A73 chip and a Mali-G52 GPU. These are accompanied by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The mini LED Smart TV also features a 70W speaker and 3x HDMI 2.1 ports. The Xiaomi 86-inch Mini LED Smart TV is priced in China at CNY 15,999 (around PHP 131,000).
