POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro Launched in PH, Priced

Not long after their global debut, POCO has launched its latest premium mid-range smartphones, POCO F5 and F5 Pro, in the Philippines. Offering very capable hardware and nifty features at competitive prices.

POCO F5 Pro

POCO F5 Pro boasts a 6.67-inch WQHD+ Flow AMOLED DotDisplay, up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, a peak brightness of 1400 nits and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor along up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For optics, the POCO F5 Pro has a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera. The device supports 4K and 8K video recording with OIS and EIS. It houses a 5,160mAh battery with support for 30W wireless fast charging.

POCO F5 has a 6.67-inch FHD+ Flow AMOLED DotDisplay with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

The device uses the same camera configuration as the Pro with EIS and OIS but can only record up to 4K videos. It houses a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery. Both POCO F5 and F5 Pro also boast an IP53 rating, feature LiquidCool Technology 2.0 and support 67W wired turbo charging.

Both run MIUI 14 for POCO on top of Android 13 and feature Bluetooth 5.3, an IR blaster, NFC connectivity, and dual speakers. POCO F5 has its fingerprint scanner mounted on the side, while POCO F5 Pro uses an in-display solution. The former has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is missing on the latter.
