Grab Philippines recently announced that it will make it easier for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Senior Citizens (SC), students, and National athletes and coaches to avail of discounts.
Grab Philippines PWD/SC/Student Discount Made Easier
Starting July 14, 2023, the company will offer GrabCar 4-seater (PWD/SC/Student) or GrabCar 6-seater (PWD/SC/Student) options. These will reflect the discounted fare immediately.
Previously, after applying for the discount, you’d have to input your dedicated promo code each time you wanted to use GrabCar and GrabTaxi.
Grab clarified in its FAQ section on its website, that you must always bring and show your valid ID to the driver when using these options. Additionally, in an announcement via the app, it mentioned that drivers have “the right to inspect and verify your ID to ensure it matches your identity and details registered with Grab.”
