Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Now Official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy

Samsung has just introduced its next-generation Samsung Galaxy S24 series headlined by the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and joined by the Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the lone device in the series to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy and features a periscope telephoto lens.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

The S24 Ultra is built around a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and protected by the new Corning Gorilla Glass Armor. The next-generation Ultra device also has a Titanium body and IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.

For optics, it has a 200MP main lens with OIS and an upgraded 50MP periscope telephoto lens. The later offers 5x optical zoom but can also offer optical-quality performance at zoom levels of 2x, 3x, 5x, to 10x magnification levels thanks to the Adaptive Pixel Sensor.

Additionally, like its siblings in the series, it has a ProVisual Engine with AI-powered tools to transform image-capturing abilities and maximize your creative freedom.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy is coupled with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The chipset is kept cool with a 1.9x larger vapor chamber.

The Ultra device, like its siblings is confirmed to have seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
