MediaTek has officially introduced the MediaTek Helio G100, the successor to the MediaTek Helio G99. This comes a couple of days following the TECNO Camon 30S Pro was unveiled as the first device powered by the chipset.
MediaTek Helio G100
The Helio G100 is built on the TSMC advanced N6 6nm process for enhanced power efficiency and increased battery life. It features two Arm Cortex-A76 cores running at up to 2.2GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz.
The new chipset has LPDDR4X RAM at up to 4266Mbps and UFS 2.2 storage onboard. Moreover, it supports cameras of up to 200MP main camera or 16MP+16MP camera setups. The G100 also supports lossless in-sensor zoom and 2.2μm pixel binning technology.
The chipset is equipped with an Arm Mali G57 MC2 GPU which allows support for FHD+ displays with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
For connectivity, it has a 4G Elevator Mode, allowing the cellular modem to re-establish connection faster in areas with weak or no coverage.
