Huawei has just teased its next Ultimate Design smartphone – the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate Design on Weibo. The device is speculated to be the leaked tri-fold foldable device.
HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate Design
The device is said to “open a new chapter of innovation for consumers”. The teaser itself though doesn’t reveal much except for the name of the device. It doesn’t even highlight or hint at the tri-fold design.
However, the Ultimate Design is known to offer the epitome of the company’s flagship devices. The list currently includes the Mate 60 RS and the Watch Ultimate Design. The world’s first tri-fold device would be the perfect addition to the list.
The Mate XT Ultimate Design is expected to be powered by a Kirin 9 series chipset with advanced features. It is also expected to feature an inward and outward folding dual-hinge design
The timing of the teaser comes just in time for its Huawei Meet the Extraordinary Brand Ceremony and Hongmeng Intelligent Driving New Product Launch Conference on September 10. This has many to believe that the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate Design will launch during the event, despite the company not explicitly saying so as of writing this.
We’ll also have to wait and see if the device will be offered outside of the local market. We hope it will.
