Apple may be gearing up to expand its M4 chip availability to three Mac models by year-end, including the Mac Mini, iMac, and MacBook Pro. The Mac Mini M4 is expected to feature a major redesign since 2010.
These major redesigns may include a smaller shell made of aluminum and a few colorway options.

According to Bloomberg’s report, Apple will increase the number of USB-C ports in the upcoming Mac Mini while retaining the current model’s HDMI, Ethernet, and headphone jacks.
Moreover, the upcoming Mac Mini M4 is said to feature a smaller exterior, a couple of USB-C ports on the front, and an internal power supply, ensuring user convenience.
Moving over to the body redesign rumors, Max Tech released a video that mentioned a smaller chassis as the biggest change coming to the M4 Mac mini. This is a welcome change if ever this is true because the Mac Mini has not received any significant enhancements to its aesthetics in 14 years. The company may also introduce M4 and M4 Pro options.
The Mac mini, currently available in a silver finish, may also come with a Space Black colorway option alongside a redesigned cable and braided cable.
Apple is set to launch three M4 Macs in October, with the other models, including the affordable MacBook Air, expected to follow in 2025’s first half, likely with a live event.
