These are aimed at creators, AI developers, and enthusiasts who push beyond traditional desktop limits with rendering, 3D content creation, video editing, and AI processing.

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series processors deliver up to 64 CPU cores, 128 threads, up to 256MB of L3 cache, and 4-channel DDR5-6400 memory. Compared to its predecessor, the latest Threadripper processors support AVX-512 with a full 512-bit data path.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series highlights

The Threadripper 9000 series is available with 24, 32, or 64 cores and offers up to 80 PCIe lanes, up from 48 lanes of its predecessor. It is also capable of twice the memory bandwidth with its quad-channel DDR5 memory controller.

Supercharge your Workflow

The new Threadripper series processors outperform Intel Xeon W-3500 series processors across different workloads.

This means that AI developers and software engineers can enjoy shorter compilation times and faster AI processing. Meanwhile, creators, product designers, and CAD engineers can also execute heavy rendering jobs while multitasking with complex 3D models.

The Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series also offers 83% faster Cinebench 2024 rendering and up to 80% more performance in Adobe After Effects.

Push Beyond Desktop Limits

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series processors are ideal for local AI processing, rendering, heavy 3D content creation, VFX, and software development thanks to support for up to 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes, which allows advanced setups like multiple GPUs and NVMe storage.

Compared to an Intel Xeon W9-3595X, the Threadripper 9980X delivers up to 64% better GPU performance in Autodesk Maya using the same graphics card.

Threadripper Motherboard Platform Feature Support

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series processors use the same sTR5 socket as the previous generation and maintain a TDP of 350W. This makes them compatible with existing Threadripper motherboards.

Pricing and Availability

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series includes the Threadripper 9980X, Threadripper 9970X, and Threadripper 9960X with 64, 32, and 24 cores, respectively.

These are priced at:
