AMD introduces the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series for high-end desktops (HEDT), and it will officially ship starting July 31, 2025.

The Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series was first announced at Computex 2025, and the latest processors are based on the new Zen 5 CPU architecture.
These are aimed at creators, AI developers, and enthusiasts who push beyond traditional desktop limits with rendering, 3D content creation, video editing, and AI processing.
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series processors deliver up to 64 CPU cores, 128 threads, up to 256MB of L3 cache, and 4-channel DDR5-6400 memory. Compared to its predecessor, the latest Threadripper processors support AVX-512 with a full 512-bit data path.
The Threadripper 9000 series is available with 24, 32, or 64 cores and offers up to 80 PCIe lanes, up from 48 lanes of its predecessor. It is also capable of twice the memory bandwidth with its quad-channel DDR5 memory controller.

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series processors use the same sTR5 socket as the previous generation and maintain a TDP of 350W. This makes them compatible with existing Threadripper motherboards.
