DJI Avata 360 Leaks Suggest Game-Changing Replaceable Lenses and Price Tag

DJI is reportedly preparing to launch the DJI Avata 360. According to recent leaks from prominent industry insider Jasper Ellens, the upcoming model aims to make immersive 360-degree aerial capture more affordable than ever, with a rumored starting price of just USD 499.

This pricing positions the Avata 360 significantly below its predecessor, the Avata 2, and well under competitors like the Insta360 Antigravity A1, with the most notable hardware innovation being the inclusion of user-replaceable lenses.

Reportedly priced at approximately USD 50 for a two-pack, these screw-in lenses allow pilots to quickly replace damaged glass after inevitable crashes in high-speed FPV flying.

The leaks also indicate an increase in endurance. The Avata 360 is expected to feature a 38.6 Wh Intelligent Flight Battery, a notable upgrade from the 31.8 Wh unit found in the Avata 2. Despite the larger capacity, spare batteries are rumored to cost a relatively modest USD 70.

Moreover, the drone maintains the “cinewhoop” design with integrated propeller guards but adds a dual-camera setup to facilitate full spherical recording. While DJI has yet to officially confirm these details, the circulating promotional images suggest a formal announcement is imminent.
