Huawei Mate X2 with Kirin 9000, Quad Cameras, and 4,500mAh Battery Now Official
Right on schedule, Huawei has lifted the curtain off its newest foldable, and the newest iteration of its Mate X series – The Mate X2.
Huawei Mate X2 boasts two 1080p+ OLED displays with 90Hz refresh rates on a fold-in design – it’s 8 inches for the interior display and 6.45 inches for the exterior display. Both screens also feature 180Hz and 240Hz touch sampling rates, respectively. Under the hood is a Kirin 9000 5G SoC backed by a 24-core Mali-G78 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage.
For optics, Mate X2 has a 50MP Ultra Vision Camera with OIS, a 16MP ultra-wide Cine Camera with built-in anti-distortion, a 12MP telephoto lens with OIS, and 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP SuperZoom unit with 10x optical zoom and OIS. The combination of two telephoto lenses allows the phone to achieve 100x digital zoom with stunning clarity.
There’s also 4K video recording as well as support for 960fps slow-motion video recording at 1080p. Upfront is a 16MP wide-angle snapper. Thanks to the phone’s design, the quad rear cameras can now be used for selfies as well.
The device runs EMUI 11 on top of Android 10 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 66W wired and 55W wireless fast- charging. Other features include Bluetooth 5.2, BLE support, and Huawei Histen.
Huawei Mate X2 comes in four colors – White, Crystal Blue, Crystal Pink, and Black. It’s priced at CNY17,999 for the 256GB variant and CNY18999 if you want double the storage.
