Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 Snaps in Three in Durability Test
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 has just gone through the durability test of YouTuber JerryRigEverything after about a month of watching the ROG Phone 5 snap in two. Sadly, the Lenovo Legion Duel 2 suffered the same fate and even snapped into three parts.
The durability test, as with most of his durability tests, starts with a scratch test and the device gets scratches at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale and deeper ones at level 7.
All its cameras, including the pop-up front camera, have glass protecting it, making them scratch resistant. In addition, the sides of the device are made from metal.
The display held up with an open flame for around 33 seconds until the pixels get permanently damaged.
Then came the bend test wherein the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 seemed to give out even easier than the ROG Phone 5. The Legion Phone Duel 2 gave out in both the left and right flanks of the middle section of the device which houses the rear camera module and the fan. The weak point, as Zack of JerryRigEverything points out, lies in the antenna lines on the side of the device.
What’s pretty impressive though is that even while it snapped into three parts, the display remained intact proving the strength of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
If you do decide to pick up either the ROG Phone 5 or the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2, a case is highly suggested especially if you’re the type to put the device in your back pocket and sit down totally forgetting about it.
