Qualcomm Unveils the 6nm Snapdragon 778G Chipset

Qualcomm has just announced the Snapdragon 778G chipset built upon TSMC’s 6nm process, compared to Samsung’s 5nm node which the Snapdragon 780G is built on.

The Snapdragon 778G has a Kryo 670 CPU coupled with an Adreno 642L GPU and a Spectra 570L ISP. It has an integrated Snapdragon X53 5G Modem-RF that delivers mmWave and sub-6 5G support.

The triple ISP on the 778G allows you to simultaneously shoot photos and videos using a wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lens.

The new chipset slots in between the Snapdragon 768G and 780G and shares much of the hardware of the 780G but is built on a larger node and slightly lower GPU.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G is expected to be featured in midrange offerings from HONOR, iQOO, Motorola, OPPO, realme, and Xiaomi later this year.
