As part of its aim to be at the forefront of the 5G race, realme officially launched its first-ever 5G-ready smartphone in the mid-range segment for the Philippine market – realme 8 5G.
realme 8 5G has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness. Under the hood, there’s a Dimensity 700 5G SoC, along with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
For optics, you get a 48MP Nightscape Camera, along with a Macro Lens, as well as a Black and White Portrait lens. At the front is a 16MP snapper. The phone supports UIS and UIS Max Video Stabilization.
The device runs realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge Technology.
Pricing and Availability
realme 8 5G 8GB+128GB is priced at PhP11,990. As an early bird offer on June 25 (starting at 12 midnight), customers can also get PhP1,500 off along with free shipping on realme’s official flagship store on Shopee.
The device will be available in more than 4,500 realme stores and partner dealers nationwide. Those who’ll purchase a unit from authorized realme stores from June 25 to 27 will also receive the realme Buds Q worth PhP1,490 as a freebie.
