YouTube is launching its first-ever Philippines Creator Day: Gaming program with a live stream event to kick it off on July 2, 2021, at 2 PM via the YouTube Space channel.
The session will span two and a half hours and will cover topics about gaming and live streaming opportunities, strategies, and best practices. This will be delivered by industry experts like Bent Pixels Asias and Collab Asia. In addition, there will be a Q&A with gaming creators Gloco and Muselk from the Philippines and Australia, respectively.
“The gaming segment in the Philippines has shown a tremendous growth in the past year with watch time of strategy game videos more than tripling in June 2020 compared to the previous year. This shows that YouTube has become a go-to platform for gaming content and we’re eager to help keep it growing. Through the Philippines Creator Day: Gaming event, we seek to educate and inspire the gaming community at scale, foster new connections, and inspire the local Philippine gaming community.”
Siddharth Srinivasan, Head of YouTube Content Partnerships for Singapore, Malaysia, and Philippines
