Meta, formerly Facebook, has just introduced a new feature for Facebook Messenger called Split Payments which allows you to split expenses with your contacts for free may it be family or friends.
You can access the feature through Facebook Messenger by clicking the “Get Started” button in a group chat or the Payments Hub. After this, you can add a personalized message, confirm your Facebook Pay details, and will be sent to the group for others to view.
The new feature only works with Facebook Pay though. Facebook Pay is a simple way to purchase through the apps you are already using like Facebook Messenger and Instagram by just adding your payment information. In the Philippines, the service is only available on Facebook.
Meta will begin to test the Split Payments in the US starting next week. The company has yet to announce when the new feature will make it to other regions though.

- King Back – channel King Bach’s royal demeanor
- Emma Chamberlain – emma’s effects is a nod to the 90’s
- Bella Poarch – Bella’s effects is based on her alter egos
- Zack King – gives the illusion of buffer til zach fixes it
The company also released a new chat theme and two soundmojis for the Stranger Things fans which can be accessed through the messenger app or Instagram.
