ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Philippines has just unveiled the ROG Phone 7 series at the ROG Phone 7: The Ultimate Game Show virtual launch event.
The latest series is comprised of the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with the advanced GameCool 7 thermal system.
ROG Phone 7 Series
The ROG Phone 7 series is equipped with the 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset coupled with up to 16GB of 8433Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The chipset also has WiFi 7 with Qualcomm FastConnect 7800.
The chipset is cooled by the GameCool 7 thermal System that uses a Boron Nitride thermal on one side for short sessions, a bigger vapor chamber and graphite sheets for mid-length sessions, and the AeroActive Cooler 7 for longer sessions. The last of which has a fan positioned over the CPU module.
The latest ROG Phone series supports real-time hardware-accelerated thanks to Snapdragon Elite Gaming. Moreover, it has Dirac Virtuo for Headphones and Snapdragon Sound technology for more immersive audio sessions, either wired or via Bluetooth.
The ROG Phone 7 series is built around a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and Delta E <1 color accuracy. They also feature AirTrigger ultrasonic controls that offer better fingertip control in your mobile games.
The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate has an AeroActive Portal, an air inlet that activates automatically when the AeroActive Cooler is attached. The inlet directs a constant flow of cool air from the cooler onto the cooling fins of the vapor chamber. The Ultimate device also features the ROG Vision, a matrix color display on the rear of the device. It is able to show events such as charging status, incoming calls, X-Mode activation, and more.
Legendary Partnership Secured
ASUS ROG announces its two-year partnership with international gaming developer and publisher MOONTON Games. This is to enhance the gaming experience of users across the globe and optimize the performance of the ROG Phone series for tournament usage.
The expansion includes four Mobile Legends: Bang Bang international esports tournaments: the Southeast Asia Cup 2023 and 2024, and the M-Series World Championships M5 and M6.
The first event to be partnered with ROG is MSC 2023, which is now being held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for the first time. It will make history with the inclusion of new teams outside Southeast Asia namely North America, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), and Turkey.
