Qualcomm has just introduced a new 8-core version of its Snapdragon X Plus chipset. It aims to bring entry-level laptop prices down and expand its market reach.
Snapdragon X Plus 8-Core Chip
The 8-core X Plus, with a 12MB CPU cache and less GPU power, is ideal for entry-level laptops due to its weaker graphics performance, 20% lower CPU tasks, and similar productivity performance as the 10-core X Plus processors.
The X Plus 8-core processor is expected to lower laptop prices. Productivity-focused and budget-friendly laptops will surely be more accessible to more consumers when these laptops hit the market.
