Just because its small, doesn’t mean it’s less. The device hosts a comprehensive suite of ports – two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports with support for DP 2.1, a LAN port, an HDMI 2.1 port, two USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, and an audio jack. The case even offers a bit of transparency, so you can have a glance at the components inside. By lifting a small handle at the bottom, you’ll also be able to easily access the SSD, in case you want to upgrade it in the future. It also features Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7 if you have a compatible router, and can connect to up to three 4K displays via Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI.

For thermals, the ASUS NUC Pro AI uses advanced Dual Copper Heat Pipes for the CPU heatsink, and a High-End Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan which improves heat dissipation while keeping noise low.

Verdict

ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI Review (25)

The ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI is a decent solution for those who want a space-saving and mobile solution for productivity and media consumption. It offers a decent number of ports for your external devices, Wi-Fi 7 support for enhanced connectivity, and a design that allows for an easy upgrade. Plus, it’s easy to set up.

Having a compact package gives you the ability to be able to move the system easily from one place to another. Bring in a portable monitor, and peripherals, and you’re all set for a travel setup. Some would, however, argue that a laptop would be a better solution, and I would agree to an extent.

Then there’s also the argument that for the price, building a custom PC would yield you a better overall package, and the freedom to choose your own parts, and to that, I would also agree.

However, the ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI is about getting a decent package while remaining extremely portable and mobile, and in that regard, I think it delivers.
