Huawei‘s next tri-folding smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate XT2, is rumored to be unveiled on September 10, according to tipster Fixed focus digital on Weibo.

This launch date would place the new device in direct competition with Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone 17, which is also speculated to occur around the same time. This timing appears to be a strategic move by Huawei to repeat last year’s high-profile face-off with Apple in the Chinese market.
While Huawei has not yet officially confirmed any details, the Mate XT2 is expected to follow the success of its predecessor, the original Mate XT. The previous model, known for its unique tri-fold design that transforms into a tablet-sized display, attracted significant attention and competed effectively with the iPhone 16.
The Mate XT2 is also rumored to be available in Mystic Black, Auspicious Red, Crimson Purple, and Bright White. With the launch date fast approaching, all eyes will be on the tech giants as they battle for market dominance.
