According to Weibo Leakster Smart Pikachu, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will launch after Christmas in China.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra – Leaked Launch
The leak shares that Xiaomi will start blind reservations on December 15 and run until Christmas Day, December 25. This explains the belief that the phone itself will launch on December 26.
The next-generation Ultra device is expected to be offered in China, the same as its predecessor – namely CNY 6,499 for the 12GB+256GB option and CNY 7,799 for the 16GB+1TB configuration.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is also reported to feature a dynamic 1-inch main camera with Leica-based imaging functionalities. Moreover, it is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
If the report is true, this is the earliest that an Ultra will be introduced, as previous Ultra devices were introduced in China just before the Mobile World Congress, usually held in Q1.
As of writing this, Xiaomi has yet to mention the Xiaomi 17 Ultra officially. We’ll have to wait and see how accurate this report is. Meanwhile, it was rumored that the Xiaomi 17 series will go global as early as January 2026.
