Realme 8 5G Launched with Dimensity 700 Chipset
realme has just unveiled the realme 8 5G, the latest member of the realme 8 series. This comes after its specs were revealed ahead of the launch. The realme 8 5G, as the name suggests, supports 5G thanks to a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC at the helm.
The new member of the realme 8 series has a 6.5-inch a 1080p+ LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It houses a 16MP front sensor in a punch hole.
Around the back, the 5G model is a downgrade from the 4G version, it features a 48MP main camera with a Samsung GM1 sensor, a 2MP B&W portrait lens, and a 2MP macro lens.
The Dimensity 700 chipset is joined by 4/8GB RAM and can be upgraded to 5GB or 11GB, respectively via Dynamic RAM Expansion technology It comes with 128GB of expandable storage via microSD of up to 1TB.
The realme 8 5G shares the same 5000mAh battery as its 4G sibling but only features 18W fast charging compared to the 30W fast charging of the 4G version. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The realme 8 5G comes in two colors – Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. It is available in Thailand and starts at BHT 10,000 and in India for INR 14,999 for the 4/128GB variant while the 8/128GB option is priced at INR 16,999.
