After a two year hiatus, Huawei officially returned the Mate series with the Huawei Mate 50 series comprised of the Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, Mate 50 RS Porsche Design, and Mate 50E.
The Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 RS Porsche Design are equipped with the first 4G Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. They also have triple XMAGE cameras around the back. The trio also features the Beidou Satellite Message 3 protocol that allows you to send a message and location even without cellular coverage.
Meanwhile, the Mate 50E has a Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset and a dual camera configuration around the back. Despite lacking a third shooter, it still shares the new XMAGE camera system.
The Huawei Mate 50 series runs on HarmonyOS 3.0.
