vivo has just revealed that the vivo Vision, its first mixed reality headset, will debut in China on August 21.

The announcement was made via a video teaser on Weibo, providing a glimpse of its design. Spoiler: It seems pretty similar to the Apple Vision Pro. This includes a metal build and a visor for its displays.
The vivo Vision boasts a digital crown element on top, which is expected to be able to control the opacity of the headset.
The teaser also reveals that the headset is secured on your head via a knit band that goes around the back of your head.
Hong Yi, General Manager of vivo Smart Device Products, revealed that its take on the mixed reality headset will be just as immersive and precise as Apple’s headset. Moreover, there will be three-dimensional controls, which could be via hand gestures like Apple. It is also confirmed to have an ultra-lightweight design.
The vivo Vision headset will be available at vivo stores in China for everyone to experience firsthand, as well as be reserved. Yes, this means that it won’t be readily available in mass production.
