TCL unveiled the MOVETIME Family Watch 2 kids’ watch, a 5G outdoor router, and the TCL Nxtwear G wearable display at MWC 2021. This was alongside two new Android Go smartphones – the Alcatel 1L Pro and the Alcatel 1 (2021).
MOVETIME Family Watch 2
The MOVETIME Family Watch 2 is a kids’ watch with the goal to allow parents to be in touch with their kids. It has a 1.54-inch display and wit ha camera above its display.
The watch has a nano-SIM slot which allows the watch to support 4G connectivity for voice and video calls. In addition, it features a one-touch SOS call button and geo-fencing. The latter alerts parents if their child leaves the area they’re supposed to be in.
It has a 40% larger capacity than the original Family Watch.
The MOVETIME Family Watch 2 is priced at EUR 150 in Europe and will ship starting mid-August.
TCL Linkhub 5G router
TCL Linkhub 5G router, on the other hand, is a rugged 5G router that’s designed to mounted outside. It is said to offer download speeds of up to 4.67 Gbps when connected to a 5G sub-6 network.
It has an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Additionally, it has an operating temperature range of -40ÂşC to +55ÂşC and features lightning protection.
TCL Nxtwear G
Lastly, the TCL Nxtwear G which is a wearable display with two Sony OLED panels that offer 1080p to each eye. The headset supports the Multi-Screen Collaboration feature and emulates 140-inch 16:9 display.
The headset has metallic frame surrounded by soft-touch nylon for comfort. Moreover, it has adjustable nose pads and three sizes with a lens adapter for those with glasses.
All you need for this is a device like a phone or laptop that can output video over USB-C. There’s no head tracking, just a display.
The TCL Nxtwear G will be in Australia next month but it’s price has yet to be announced.
